OVERVIEW

The new Cisco(R) Catalyst(R) Compact Switches form the 2960-CX series offer a Gigabit Ethernet switch in a compact format specially developed for use outside of power distribution cabinets. Enterprise and commercial customers can use this switch for advanced security services, unified communications, wireless, IP video cameras and other applications in offices, branch locations, training rooms, cruise ships and other environments with limited wiring options.

Highlights of the Cisco Catalyst Series 2960-CX:

• Support for a 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity via SFP+ Module
• Hardware-based encryption with Media Access Control securities (MACsec).
• Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), up to 30 W pro port.
• USD and console ports for backup, distribution and simplified operation.
• Quiet operation, free of fans.
• Option of expanded Layer 3 IP services.
